Jean Shafiroff and Tous Jewelry hosted A Holiday Shopping Party to benefit the New York Women’s Foundation® (NYWF) on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Tous Boutique in Rockefeller Center with media partner Manhattan Magazine.

Guests browsed display cases to preview looks from Tous’ Fall/Winter Collection include. 10 percent of the proceeds on purchases made at Tous during the event and all day on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 will benefit the New York Women’s Foundation.

Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist and activist, is a volunteer fundraiser and leader of several charitable causes. She serves on the boards of New York Women’s Foundation®, New York City Mission Society, French Heritage Society, Couture Council (Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology), Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services (20+ years), Southampton Animal Shelter Honorary Board, and Southampton Bath & Tennis Club’s Charitable Foundation. Jean is hands-on with the multiple causes she supports. Each year she chairs numerous galas and hosts events benefiting numerous not-for-profit organizations. She is particularly known for her leadership in raising money for many charities, including the New York Women’s Foundation®, Southampton Hospital, Southampton Animal Shelter and New York City Mission Society.

Established in 1987 as a public philanthropy, the New York Women’s Foundation® is a cross-cultural alliance of women, serving as a force for change for women. From the outset, the Foundation’s founders strove to identify innovative organizations that were affecting change in the communities they served for women. NYWF strategically funds organizations and programs that move women, girls and families towards long-term economic security through individual transformation and systematic change, mobilizing leaders and community partners as philanthropists and change agents.

New York Center For Children Hosted The 20th Anniversary Spring Cocktail Reception At Bar Clement at the Peninsula Hotel

The New York Center for Children (NYCC) hosted its 20th Anniversary Spring Cocktail Reception on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Bar at Clement at the Peninsula Hotel in New York City. The event raised money in support of the organization’s mission to support victims of child abuse and their families with anything they might need.

Over 130 supporters gathered at the Bar Clement for cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres and participated in a silent auction to benefit the charity, which took place through the duration of the event. Auction highlights included a three night stay in a superior suite at The Peninsula Hotel in Paris, a private dinner for eight at Clement, Personal styling and shopping with Kirna Zabete Founder Sarah Easley, a selection of clothing from designer Harrison Morgan, a weekend vacation package for the Westcott B&B in Hudson, New York and a selection of paintings created by NYCC clients.

Kevin Ryan, Chairman of the New York Center for Children, addressed the crowd of supporters thanking them for their attendance. He mentioned that it’s the contributions from loyal donors that help the NYCC execute its mission and provide child abuse victims and their families, regardless of financial standing, with the support they need. Fashionable philanthropist Jean Shafiroff shines at Fall Galas

Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff recently attended The Metropolitan Opera Opening Night Gala on Monday, September 22, 2014, and the New York City Ballet 2014 Fall Gala, on Tuesday September 23, 2014.

The MET opened its 2014 – 2015 season with its glamorous black-tie gala, called “Le Nozze di Figaro”, which showcased a new production of Mozart’s eternal masterpiece, directed by Richard Eyre.

Shafiroff wore a stunning pink and purple Oscar de la Renta gown from his Fall 2014 collection, and heels by French footwear designer Christian Louboutin.

The evening drew designers including Zac Posen, Vera Wang, Sophie Theallet, and Thom Browne, and celebrities including actress Patricia Clarkson, Gina Gershon, and HBO show Girls’ stars Jemima Kirke and Andrew Rannells. Other notable guests included Bruce Kovner, Willem Kooyker, Doris Meister, Henry Kravis, John Paulson and David Koch.

The following evening, Shafiroff attending the highly anticipated New York City Ballet Fall Gala at Lincoln Center, which saw high-profile attendees come together for a champagne reception, five ballet performance, and black-tie supper ball on the promenade of the David H. Koch Theater. She wore a beautiful dress by American designer B Michael, who is known for his glamorous designs.

Esteemed designers such as Mary Katrantzou, Carolina Herrera, Thom Brown and Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton designed costumes for the ballerinas on opening night event, which was co-chaired by Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer and Trey Laird, Marianne Lake, and Cindy Chao.
