Led by Founder Tamer Seckin, M.D. the 9th Annual Blossom Ball to benefit the Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Monday, March 19th, 2018. The special event was co-chaired by Subrata De and Sandra Gelbard, M.D. with highlighted honorees Grammy-nominated singer Halsey and Lone Hummelshøj. The Blossom Ball included a performance by the Resistance Revival Chorus, who recently took the stage with Kesha at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Philanthropist and Author Jean Shafiroff served as Mistress of Ceremonies throughout the evening at the 66th Annual New York Junior League Winter Ball at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. The evening also featured an awards presentation by New York Junior League (NYJL) President Suzanne E. Manning, who presented the NYJL Outstanding Sustainer Award to Nancy Houghton and Wendy Wade, and the NYJL Outstanding Volunteer Award to Mary Catherine Burdine, Katie Cook, Nicole Ferrin, Elizabeth Fabsits Pavone, and Kim Essency Pillari. The Riviera Romance themed fundraiser raised more than $530,000 for NYJL Charitable Activities.

Authentic French Bistro Demarchelier, owned by artist Eric Demarchelier (brother of famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier), celebrates its 25-year anniversary this 2017. Eric opened the very first location of his eponymous restaurant the same year he first moved to New York City, in 1978. After having moved from its original location on Lexington Avenue, Demarchelier re-opened in 1992 on 86th street, still frequented by its regular diners. More bourgeois than bohemian, Demarchelier’s lively and cozy locale also showcases a rotating collection of paintings by the owner.
FIRST PRIVATE CO-WORKING SPACE AND INNOVATION LAB FOR EAST END ENTREPRENEURS
The Spur is a private co-working space and innovation lab that targets entrepreneurs and innovators on the East End looking for a more invigorating and productive work environment than their home office. The Spur launched with a VIP event on Saturday, January 6, 2018 and then opened for business on January 8 as a pop-up partnership with the Southampton Social Club. In tandem, The Spur is working on renovating a building in Southampton Village that will become The Spur’s home come summer.

The second annual Blue Jacket Fashion Show was held at Pier59 Studios as part of CFDA’s New York Men’s Fashion Week, hosted by comedian Judy Gold. In partnership with the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show benefitted the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), founded by philanthropist and financier Michael Milken.
