Media, friends and family welcomed iconic suit maker Richard James of Richard James Savile Row to his first US store location in New York City, on 57th and Park Avenue. The store, which opened earlier this year, offers men both made-to-measure and fully bespoke suiting, along with Swarovski studded evening wear, jazzy shirts, hand woven ties, silk pocket squares, and four new cologne fragrances which were released just last week. Lifeline organized, and Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine Of Serbia hosted the Annual Benefit Luncheon 2019 at the Metropolitan Club at 1 East 60th Street in New York City In aid of children’s hospitals in Serbia. Lifeline Humanitarian Organization is an international effort founded in 1993 as an urgent response to the tragic situation in the former Yugoslavia, which was afflicted by conflict and sanctions. The goal of Lifeline is to reduce and relieve the suffering of physically and mentally disabled children, orphans, the elderly as well as to improve medical facilities in the country.

The not-for-profit animal rescue organization, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC (RDRNYC) hosted their 2nd annual gala at 583 Park Avenue, New York City. The cocktail and dinner reception gala raised funds and awareness to help animals in need, and was co-chaired by Georgina Bloomberg and Lara Trump. The gala was produced by Robin Lathrop of By Robin who also donated fabulous décor and DJ. TV personality Bill McCuddy was the emcee for the evening.
Surgeons of Hope, a non-profit organization that provides heart surgeries to infants and children in Latin America, hosted their annual gala chaired by Philanthropist and Author Jean Shafiroff. The nonprofit honored Diego Luna, star of Narcos: Mexico and Star Wars: Rogue One and Surgeons of Hope Heart Ambassador, and Publicis Groupe Supervisory Board Chairman Maurice Lévy. The night kicked off with a special performance by Baila Conmigo – a high-energy Latin dance group which recently toured with Jennifer Lopez. The gala was held at the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City.

The Decoration & Design Building (DDB) hosted its Fall Market, DESIGN 2020, at the iconic headquarters of all things design in New York. The two-day market blended a retrospective glance at design by the decades and an examination of how the 2010s completely changed our industry, with a peek forward at what to expect in the next decade of design. Owner, Charles S. Cohen opened the two-day trade-only event with his perspective of the future of design resulting from the design headquarters’ carefully curated programming and discussion. The Fall Market included six star-studded Keynotes and one Special Program, 20 In-Showroom Programs, four Cocktail Receptions, 11 Experiential Events, and over 100 Open Houses. Teasing out the pillar principles that will continue to define the design conversation – technology, sustainability, social responsibility, innovation, and collaboration among them – the all-access two-day event provided captivating insight, practical intelligence, and actionable advice as we collectively braced for the profound impact these topics created in the years to come.
